The Golden Eye Institute

Institute for the rehabilitation of protected wild animals and their return to nature

"IT IS WORTH LEARNING THAT WE WILL PRESERVE LIVING SPECIES IN NATURE, AND OFFER DIGNITY TO THOSE IN CAPTIVITY AND REDUCE THEIR SUFFERING."

Get to know the Golden Eye Institute

The Golden Eye Institute was founded with the aim of helping to preserve the diversity of the animal world. In Slovenia alone, as many as four fifths of amphibians and reptiles and almost half of all mammal species are endangered. Globally, these numbers are even higher. All animal species that are endangered in our country are part of the red list. With our internationally colored projects, we dedicate ourselves to the study of rare and endangered animal species, their reproduction, health care, and education and awareness of various publics.
